Educational tours/picnics are arranged for all classes to blend fun with education. Pupils are taken to historical places and picnic spots every year, so that they get an opportunity to get closer to nature and understand and develop an aesthetic sense.
There are three Houses namely NEETI, KEERTI and SFOORTI, each under the charge of a House Mistress. The three Houses represent the spirit of progress, love, friendship and purity and the spirit of unity binds them all. The House Captain and Vice Captain help the House Mistress in the efficient running of the House – activities. To promote a healthy spirit of competition, various inter House activities like – quizzes, debates, declamation, recitation, drawing, painting, fancy-dress, dance, dramas, plays, sports and games competitions etc are organized for which prizes, certificates, medals and trophies are awarded. The House scoring maximum points in all the activities and events before the ANNUAL DAY FUNCTION is adjudged "THE CHAMPION HOUSE" for which a running shield is awarded.
Planting of trees, maintaining the bushes, green lawns and taking care of potted plants are carried out by the students. Especially on 'Earth day' saplings are planted in the different branches of the school.
We stress upon taking care of our environment through conservation. We have our own compost pit, where organic manure is prepared. This is used for our lush green lawns and flower beds.
We have an underground tank to collect water from the water-points on all the three floors. This recycled water is used to water the plants and lawns. Through these practices, our students are learning about sustainable development and conservation of resources.
Conservation of natural resources is also brought out by the rainwater harvesting system in our school. Students learn the importance of harnessing rainwater and using it effectively, rather than letting it go waste.
